Choosing the Right Vehicle & Conversion
How do I know which conversion is right for me?

By completing our dedicated measurement form, we can accurately assess the dimensions of the wheelchair user. This allows us to recommend the vehicle and conversion layout that guarantees the best possible comfort and fit.

Which vehicle is most suitable for different situations?

Every lowered floor vehicle offers unique freedom of movement and reliability. To make the best choice, it is essential to evaluate your needs step-by-step. Our experts and local points are available for any questions or test drives. By analyzing the wheelchair user’s measurements and the total number of passengers, we can identify the most suitable range for your lifestyle.

What is the cost of a converted vehicle?

While a lowered floor conversion requires a significant initial investment due to the complex engineering and certified “Taxi Ramp” system, it is important to look at the long-term value. Our system is entirely manual, meaning it requires minimal to zero maintenance. This saves you significant costs on servicing and repairs compared to electric systems. Investing in Promobility means investing in long-term reliability, back-health for the caregiver, and total safety.

Diesel or Petrol?

The choice depends on your specific usage. Our team can advise you on the best engine type for your needs. At Promobility, we offer the widest range on the market, compatible with all fuel types.

Will the vehicle be too large for my daily use?

Choosing the right size involves personal factors like garage space and typical routes. However, modern converted vehicles offer surprising maneuverability and hidden qualities—let’s discover them together!

Mobility Solutions & Conversions
Why is a lowered floor the best option?

A lowered floor conversion is a specialized process performed by only a few certified companies. It involves re-engineering the vehicle chassis to increase internal height and volume, making entry easier and ensuring the safest, most comfortable travel experience for wheelchair users.

How many wheelchairs can fit inside a lowered floor vehicle?

Thanks to our international partnerships and R&D, we offer one of the broadest ranges available. We provide solutions for 1 or 2 wheelchair users in lowered floor cars, and up to 4 or more in larger commercial vehicles with dedicated flooring.

Is the rear ramp manual?

Yes. Our innovative Taxi Ramp features a lightweight, ultra-resistant single-piece mechanical structure. It provides an unobstructed rear view and a certified gentle slope for easy entry. With a 350kg load capacity, it is incredibly durable. Additionally, it can be folded horizontally (fold-flat) to recreate the original loading floor (supporting up to 100kg).

Do you convert Electric or Hybrid vehicles?

Absolutely. Our range includes Petrol, Diesel, Full Electric, and Hybrid models. Visit our “Models” section to see all available options.

Tax Benefits & Documentation
What documentation is required for tax incentives?

In Italy, purchasing with a reduced VAT rate (4%) requires specific documentation under Law 104/92.To purchase a vehicle with the reduced VAT rate according to Italian Law 104/92, specific documentation is required. These guidelines ensure that benefits are directed to those who truly need them.

  • Medical Certification: The primary requirement is the recognition of disability under Art. 3, Paragraph 3 of Law 104/92, certified by an ASL medical board report.
  • Family Purchases: If a family member buys the car, the person with the disability must be a tax dependent (with an annual income not exceeding €2,840.51, or €4,000 for children up to 24).
  • Self-Declaration: A signed statement confirming that no similar vehicle tax benefits have been claimed in the previous four years is mandatory.

Important Deadlines and Procedures

Tax benefits can generally be reused only after four years, except in cases of theft or early scrapping.

  • Buying Process: The dealer applies the 4% VAT directly at the time of purchase.
  • Exemptions: For road tax (bollo auto) and registration tax (IPT) exemptions, specific applications must be submitted to the regional tax offices.

Income Tax (IRPEF): Keep all purchase documents to claim tax deductions in your annual tax return. For more details, please refer to the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate) portal.  For international clients, tax benefits vary by country. We recommend contacting our sales office or your local tax consultant to understand the specific incentives available in your region.
