The handover took place in the presence of welfare councillor Andrea Vannucci and the vice president of the City Council Maria Federica Giuliani.

Two equipped minibuses for the Volpi Rosse Menarini wheelchair basketball team. An important gift from Orion Srl that will allow the players to move more efficiently both in Florence and during away trips throughout Italy.

The delivery of the two vehicles took place at Palazzo Vecchio in the presence of welfare councillor Andrea Vannucci, the vice president of the City Council Maria Federica Giuliani, the president of Volpi Rosse Menarini Ivano Nuti, the head and coordinator of the Orion Promobility sector Orso Matteo Orsini, and the commercial manager of Orion srl Massimiliano Meoni.

“The Volpi Rosse Menarini team has entered the hearts of all Florentines – said the welfare councillor Andrea Vannucci – and is achieving extraordinary results. This team shows that children and young people with disabilities can also play sports and this is a very strong message for families.”

“With the two minibuses donated by Orion – continued Vannucci – the boys of Volpi Rosse Menarini will be able to travel all together and this will make the sporting experience even more beautiful.”

Volpi Rosse Menarini compete in the national Serie B championship and last year they narrowly missed promotion to the top division. An objective that returns this season.
